With the demise of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/saturn\/\">Saturn<\/a> brand, AMP shifted its focus to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/tag\/equinox\">Chevrolet Equinox<\/a> and is now trying to build out its business to convert and sell <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/electric\/\">electric vehicles<\/a> (it was just eliminated from the <a href=\"http:\/\/green.autoblog.com\/category\/automotive-x-prize\/\">Automotive X-Prize<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>As part of that effort, AMP has hired retired <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/make\/gm\">General Motors<\/a> executive John Gatt as a consultant. Gatt spent 34 years at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/category\/gm\/\">GM<\/a>, most recently with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/hummer\/\">Hummer<\/a> brand as director of IT development and implementation for the global sales, after-sales and marketing efforts.
