They build diesel versions of most of their models in Europe and they&#x27;ll be bringing a diesel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/audi\/q7\/\">Q7<\/a> to the U.S. market later in 2008. The lone holdouts to the diesel cult are the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/audi\/r8\/\">R8<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/audi\/tt\/\">TT<\/a> sports cars. The latter model could be wearing a TDI badge as soon as the next <a href=\"http:\/\/green.autoblog.com\/tag\/GenevaMotorShow\/\">Geneva Motor Show<\/a>. Audi is reported to be working on diesel TT using the 2.0L engine that features in much of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/volkswagen\/\">VW<\/a> lineup including the upcoming <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/volkswagen\/jetta\/\">Jetta<\/a> CleanTDI. Under the hood of the TT the diesel could be bumped up to 200 hp making it a serious challenger to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/bmw\/\">BMW<\/a> 123d.
