According to Ghosn, part of that is because there aren't enough sufficiently large lines of credit available. Ghosn recently told an interviewer that last year, banks were lending automakers money at 3.5-4 percent, a figure that has now jumped to 9 percent if they can get a loan at all. Until financial markets stabilize, most automakers wil simply be doing whatever they can to remain solvent.

[Source: Automotive News Europe]

https://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/02/carlos-ghosn-says-no-more-alliances-for-a-while/

2009-03-02T08:58:00+00:00

Renault-Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn doesn't expect to see any more big auto alliances in the near future.
