While some of the vehicles on the list seem obvious &#8211; the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/mercedes_benz\/\">Mercedes-Benz<\/a> E320 BlueTec <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/diesel\/\">diesel<\/a> and the hybrid <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/lexus\/\">Lexus<\/a> GS450h &#8211; there were some surprises. Giving <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/porsche\/\">Porsche&#x27;s<\/a> complaints about European Union plans to impose limits on carbon dioxide emissions, finding the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/porsche\/boxster\/\">Boxster<\/a> sports car on the list might come as a shock. However, driven tamely, it can achieve pretty decent mileage. Of course like many <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/performance\/\">sports cars<\/a>, it thrives on being driven quickly and doing so can easily drive the mileage into the single digits. On the other end of the spectrum most might not consider the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/volvo\/c30\/\">Volvo C30<\/a> a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/car-finder\/luxury\/\">luxury car<\/a>. The little hatchback is based on the same platform as the European <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/ford\/focus\/\">Ford Focus<\/a> and, although well appointed, calling this a luxury car might be a stretch.
